The McEuen family is now living nearly 11,000 feet above sea level in the city of Huancayo, Peru.  Having completing Spanish language training in Costa Rica, they are now in the process of re-learning some of the lessons taught (there are some differences between Peruvian and Costa Rican Spanish). 

They are also exploring the options for ministry in the Andes mountains.  (They have some ideas that they believe God would like them to do, but they want to be certain that their ideas are in line with God´s ideas.)  Some of the areas in which they have found some open doors is working with Universtiy Students and in some of the local schools. 

They are also interested in exploring literacy... reading is currently not a priority in the lives of many Peruvian people.

During this time, they are exploring the history and the culture of the area in order to better understand the people with whom they are in ministry.
