Billy and Laurie Drum spent eight years leading short term mission teams into Mexico before coming to The Mission Society as career missionaries. They are currently working in Peru with educational ministries, discipleship, and community outreach. They continue to lead short-term mission teams in Peru. The Drums have started the Kuyay Talpuy education centers – a ministry to educate street children and extremely impoverished children who cannot afford an education. They are also working on opening the North American Language Institute – a school to teach English as a second language to Peruvians who desire contact with North American English speakers and desire to build relationships for Christ. Above all, the Drums have a strong desire to build cross-cultural relationships and show the love of Christ to the people of Peru.
