Chris and Dora both received degrees in Music Education from the University of Kentucky. Chris recently completed a Masters of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Asbury Theological Seminary, while Dora is completing an online Masters in English Language learning while they are serving in Thailand. They are currently in Thai language school five days a week in Bangkok, Thailand, and teaching English a couple days a week through the Muang Thai church.

Ministry Description:

Chris and Dora are appointed to teach English as a second language, and build relationships to love and serve the people of the Isaan region in the northeast part of Thailand. The Isaan region is Thailand's poorest region, and Chris and Dora will be residing in Roi Et, the poorest province within that region. Although Thailand is 95% Buddhist and 4.6% Muslim, God is doing awesome things in Northeast Thailand. Chris and Dora will be teaching in several village schools and spending time investing in the lives of the local children and youth. They are also interested in eventually engaging in campus ministry and would like to help form alcohol recovery ministries in Roi Et. They hope to be finishing the sixth module of language training (each module lasts approximately one month) in July 2010, and will depart for Roi Et at that time.

- Our struggles in learning and adapting to a new culture
- Our ability to learn and utilize the Thai language and E-sarn dialect
- Good health while traveling and in Thailand
- God's blessings on the people of Thailand
