The Mission Society provides global missionary support through missionary recruiting, missionary training and equipping church leaders and others to lead international and short-term mission trips. Based in Norcross, GA, The Mission Society was originally formed to support Methodist missionaries, but now works with a variety of Wesleyan denominations offering missionary training, missionary seminars, missionary workshops and church leadership training throughout the United States and around the world.

About Us

What is it that makes you come alive? What has God called you to be? At The Mission Society, we are in the business of connecting God’s people with ministries that help fulfill their unique callings, passions, and interests. However God has gifted and equipped you, let us help you find a way to live out your call.

Today, an estimated 1.8 billion people have yet to hear the Gospel of Christ. In loving response to the world’s people and to Christ’s command, The Mission Society has developed ministries that address the needs of today’s world and exhibit a culture marked by people of integrity, a genuine prayer life, and obedience to the mission of bringing people to Christ. We are called and committed to reaching others, an effort which requires Christian nationals, missionaries, and local churches in all parts of the world working in partnership.

The Mission Society was founded in 1984 with an emphasis on sending missionaries to areas where the Gospel had been least heard so they could introduce individuals to Christ, disciple new believers, plant churches, and come alongside national leaders to help them reach their own nations for Christ. More than 20 years later, this focus continues to guide us. Over the years, we have grown to recruit, train, and support more than 400 cross-cultural witnesses. Currently, more than 200 work alongside nationals in more than 30 nations around the world. As they serve in a wide variety of ministries, they share the love and message of Christ, equip and empower national churches and their leaders, and further community development and relief efforts where needed.

The Mission Society has a long history of partnering with local churches to provide speakers and resources and to aid the growth of local churches’ mission awareness and activity. We also serve U.S. and international congregations by providing outreach seminars and mentoring services. As fruit of these ministries, congregations throughout the United States, parts of East and West Africa, and South America have begun actively supporting and sending their own missionaries to unevangelized and underevangelized communities within their own nations and beyond.

As a “faith-based” organization, The Mission Society does not receive denominational funding and works with a variety of Wesleyan evangelical denominations both within the United States and in other parts of the world. As the center of Christendom shifts and globalization alters our world, we continue to grow and transform so that we can minister effectively.

God has created each of us for the common purpose of glorifying Him through loving those around us as we are designed to contribute. The more we love God, the more we reflect His loving image back to those around us and help to usher them into His presence. Whatever your gifts, the Kingdom awaits your offering.
