Based in Norcross, GA, The Mission Society was originally formed to support Methodist missionaries, but now works with a variety of Wesleyan denominations offering missionary training, missionary seminars, missionary workshops and church leadership training throughout the United States and around the world.

Orientation Training - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Event description:

Orientation Training is an annual training event for cross-cultural workers that takes place in the summer and lasts approximately two weeks. Some of the topics covered in Orientation Training will include relational evangelism, discipleship, spiritual warfare, small group ministry, cross-cultural challenges, culture shock, world religions, and mission and the church. The event is held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

This is an event for the whole family. A separate program for Missionary Kids in training is provided. Former missionaries will teach and provide the children with exciting opportunities for cross-cultural interaction.

Guests are welcome to audit this training event.

In order to attend Orientation Training, missionary candidates must first attend our Missionary Candidate Event and be approved as a Mission Society missionary. Guests should contact Ari Arfaras in the training department to obtain details and costs for auditing Orientation Training.
